Renowned caricaturist and humorist illustrator, Jason Seiler,
studied fine
art illustration at the American Academy of Art
in Chicago.
Professionally, his first client was his grade school principal who
recognized his talent after he'd gotten in trouble for drawing
parodies of
his history teacher. She hired Jason to do caricatures
of some faculty
members and the rest is history!
Today, Jason's client list includes such
companies as GOLF
Magazine, Business Week, MAD Magazine, TIME, The Weekly
Standard, Guitar Player Magazine, REVOLVER, Universal
Pictures, and New
Line Cinema, among many others. Jason believes
that truth and humor are
the two fundamental principles to any
successful caricature: capturing the
subject truthfully ensures
recognition; doing so with a sense of humor
ensures forgiveness.
This is important because, in the words of George
Bernard Shaw,
"If you are going to tell people the truth, you'd better
make
them
laugh. Otherwise they'll kill you." Jason currently lives in
Uptown Chicago with his lovely wife, Kat, and his two irresistibly
beautiful daughters, Isabeau and Ava.
